THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N0025917N0053. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Depuy Synthes Sales, Inc.; 325 Paramount Dr.; Raynham, MA, 02767-5199. The objective of this sole source award is to acquire two C5-6 Cervical Arthroplasty Implant Sets. Salient Characteristics must include: 1. Implant set instrumentation must have different sized implants due to exact size unknown until surgery 2. Implant must have a central keel for stability 3. Implant must have a fixed center of rotation 4. A representative must also be present during surgery to provide implant size range, and take back all unused items Depuy Synthes Sales is the manufacturer and sole distributor of the needed items.
