This is a Pre-Event Temporary Traffic Signal Repair Contract. PRE-QUALIFICATION IS REQUIRED. Intent: Provide traffic signal repair operations pursuant to the Governor's and/ or President's declaration of a state emergency. Provide all labor, material and equipment required to complete the work described in the Scope of Services. The quantities shown on the Bid Price Proposal are approximate and only represent estimated planned requirements based on historical or specific project needs. The Department does not guarantee any maximum or minimum quantity, any range of quantities, or the exact quantities shown for each bid item. The Departments estimated quantities and the Contractors bid price will be used to calculate a total bid amount. This total bid amount will then be used to determine the low bidder; however, actual payment under the awarded contract will be based on actual quantities completed. For this Contract in which specific sites are not identified at the time of letting, the Engineer will issue a Task Work Order (TWO). TWOs will identify the location, description, amount of work to be accomplished, and the number of calendar days to complete the work. There is no requirement for a Bid Bond. The Contractor shall provide a letter to the Department at the time of bid, from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Florida verifying the Contractor is bondable in the State of Florida. For the purposes of this Contract, the dollar amount is established at $750,000. Awarded Contractor must execute Contract documents within five (5) business days.
