The project involves the reconstruction and rehabilitation of a 0.47-mile stretch of M-37/M-44 from Michigan Avenue to south of Bradford Street in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan. Scope includes hot mix asphalt paving, drainage improvements, traffic signal upgrades, new signing and pavement markings, and the addition of a shared-use path. The bridge component requires full reconstruction with 56-inch plate girders and comprehensive rehabilitation work such as epoxy overlay on the deck, deck patching, expansion joint replacement, substructure and concrete barrier patching, partial cleaning and coating, joint waterproofing, and approach work.
