Full Description

Cal-Ore Telephone proposes to install approximately 140 linear feet of fiber optic cable in a 1.25-inch diameter conduit within the California Department of Transportations (Caltrans) right of way across (under) State Route 97 in Siskiyou County at post mile 44.642 near Dorris and Macdoel. The fiber optic would be installed at a minimum depth of 48 inches below ground via horizontal direction drilling (HDD) and would provide improved communications service to the Butte Valley Airport. A bore pit would also be excavated within Caltrans right of way to facilitate installation. Caltrans will issue an encroachment permit (02-26-6-UJ-0388) for the proposed work.
