The intent is to solicit structural engineering bridge load rating services for Forest Service owned bridges located in the Southern Region (Region 8) of the USDA Forest Service. Typical bridge load rating services include a site inspection, structural evaluation and submittal of documentation including but not limited to; structural calculations, assumptions, photgraphs, recommended posting requirements, drawings, and related documentation. Subsidiary services required to complete a task order such civil engineering services and non-destructive materials testing are included. The Government anticipates awarding 13 Indefinite Delivery Requirements type contracts by area-State, with task orders issued for site specific work. The areas are: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, N Carolina, S Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Note, Professional Certification will be required in the State the bridge is located. The contract is anticipated to be from June 2014 through April 2015 for the base year with 1 option year.
