Bid #04251: The Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts is seeking a qualified developer to design, construct, finance, own, and operate a carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and utilization facility (CCU Facility) at the A.K. Warren Water Resource Facility in Carson, CA. The project involves processing CO2-rich tail gas from a new Biogas Conditioning System (BCS-2), which is expected to produce 5,800 to 16,000 short tons of CO2 per year. The developer will be responsible for all aspects of the CCU facility, including monetizing the captured CO2 and any associated environmental credits. The goal is to generate a revenue stream for the District while reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The contract will be for an initial term of 10 years with a potential 5-year extension.
