Global Affairs Canada (GAC) requires a contractor to purchase and retire 6,912 tCO2e of high-integrity carbon offset credits to address emissions from a major international event. Offsets must come from eligible Canadian programs and be divided into two groups. The contractor must retire the credits in a Canadian registry, provide official proof of retirement, and deliver a detailed report outlining project information, serial numbers, prices, and fees. All work must be completed electronically and support sustainable procurement.
