This notice is a synopsis in accordance with FAR 5.101 for a proposed contract modification to Contract W31P4Q-18-C-0013, published at least 15 days before the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) - FAR part 6.302-1(a)(2). This notice is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations and a solicitation will not be issued for this requirement. The Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal intends to award a modification to the existing Improved Bradley Acquisition Subsystem (IBAS) Engineering Services (ES) contract which increases the contract ceiling and provides for the continuation of ES in support of fielded IBAS components and support equipment. This ceiling increase is intended to be awarded to DRS-NIS, LLC, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), as award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of costs to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition and there would be unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirement. The rates utilized will be the negotiated FY21 rates established in the contract. The period of performance remains unchanged. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in preparation of information or documents related to this ceiling increase. Written comments or questions regarding this notice must be e-mailed to holly.a.hlavac.civ@mail.mil and dorphelia.b.foster.civ@mail.mil.
