The Valley Sanitary District is seeking qualified firms to provide environmental consulting services related to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for a series of projects scheduled between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2027, with potential extensions to June 30, 2029. The scope of work encompasses preparing various CEQA documentation such as Initial Studies, Mitigated Negative Declarations, and specialized reports on air quality, biological, and cultural resources. Additionally, the services include conducting site surveys, monitoring environmental concerns, preparing environmental assessments for the Bureau of Reclamation, and assisting with filing applications for relevant agencies. The solicitation, titled "CEQA Environmental Consulting Services" (RFP No. 2024-0120), was posted on January 23, 2025, with a response deadline of February 21, 2025. The contract size ranges from $500,000 to $2,000,000, and the work will be performed within California. The primary point of contact is Adrian Contreras, reachable via email at acontreras@valley-sanitary.org or by phone at 760-238-5400. The agreement emphasizes the consultant's independent contractor status, insurance requirements, and provisions for subcontractors, aligning with the sample professional services agreement provided by the District. This comprehensive approach ensures that environmental compliance and documentation are thoroughly managed for the District’s upcoming projects, supporting their funding applications and environmental stewardship efforts.
