The National Research Council of Canada (NRC)-Royalmount in Montreal develops mammalian cell culture-based processes for the production of various biological products such as recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies and viral vectors to support the Canadian BioPharma industry. Process optimization requires rapid evaluation of cell culture nutritional states with respect to substrate and metabolic by-product levels. NRC-MTL needs a chemistry analyzer offering a high-throughput capacity to test samples in an automated fashion. The chemistry analyzer must be able to measure glucose, lactate and ammonia.
