Chenal at Loyola Right Turn Lane

The City of Little Rock Department of Public Works is soliciting bids for the Chenal at Loyola Right Turn Lane project, part of the 2022-2024 Bond Program. This heavy construction project involves the installation of a right turn lane at Chenal Parkway and Loyola Drive, with a scope of work encompassing site preparation, unclassified excavation, asphalt surface course installation, concrete curb and gutter work, and the installation of catch basins, street signs, and thermoplastic pavement markings. The project also includes water line mobilization, service line replacement, and water main installation. All work must comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1926, Arkansas State Highway Commission specifications, and the City of Little Rock's 2015 Contract Conditions and Specifications. The contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified, responsive, and responsible bidder. Qualified vendors must hold a valid Arkansas State Contractor's License and provide a performance and payment bond for 100 percent of the contract value, as well as a 5 percent bid bond for bids exceeding 20,000 dollars. The period of performance is 60 consecutive calendar days following the receipt of a Notice to Proceed, with work required to commence within 10 calendar days of that notice. Failure to complete the project within the 60-day window will result in liquidated damages of 1,000 dollars per day. Bids must be submitted electronically via the LRPROCURE portal, and the project will be managed by the Civil Engineering Manager of the Public Works Department.
