Full Description

Existing 8" diameter chilled water supply and return piping complete with couplings will be modified to be able to provide space for the seismic upgrade construction of the BTS, SSRL SPEAR III. About 50 feet (approximately)of the supply and return pipes will be rerouted as shown on drawings. Any requirements for new pipes and couplings to meet the new pipes location shall be provided by the Subcontractor. The other approximately 50 feet will be temporarily removed and reinstalled after the seismic upgrade construction is completed. New supports will be provided on the portion of the pipes that will be rerouted. These supports will be fabricated similar to the existing supports as shown on drawings. The piping clamps shall be supplied by the University but the bolts and washers shall be provided by the Subcontractor. The modified piping to be relocated shall be insulated similar to the existing pipe and leak testing is required before the installation of the insulation
