The City of Calgary (“The City”) conducts video inspections of wastewater and stormwater collection assets using City crews and contractors. Current processes involve video files, inspection observations, metadata, review activities, reporting, and analytics. The City also maintains a substantial library of historical inspection videos and associated records that may need to be retained, migrated and made accessible through a future solution. Currently, the City of Calgary captures and processes approximately 2,000 mainline inspections via crawlers and approximately 2,000 service-line inspections annually via push cameras. Future volumes may increase as contractor inspections, and additional inspection programs are implemented to support the growth of The City. Purpose and objectives: The City is seeking market information about integrated hardware and software solutions that support inspection of wastewater and stormwater mains, service lines (laterals), and potentially manholes. The City is interested in solutions that provide a comprehensive and sustainable approach to managing inspection video, associated inspection observations, metadata, reporting outputs, related records across the full asset lifecycle and access to historical records. The City is also interested in understanding how available solutions may support improved standardization, data quality, access to complete asset history and future growth.
