City of Santa Maria Drainage Study

The City of Santa Maria Public Works Engineering Department is soliciting proposals for professional engineering services to develop a Citywide Drainage Study and Flood Mitigation Master Plan. The project involves conducting watershed-based analysis, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, and identifying infrastructure deficiencies to create cost-effective flood mitigation strategies. The selected consultant will be responsible for advancing a preferred alternative to a 10 percent conceptual design. All work must be performed under the responsible charge of a Professional Civil Engineer licensed in the State of California. Award is granted to the most qualified consultant at the City's sole discretion. Payment is structured based on the conclusion of assigned tasks, with a restriction that total payments cannot exceed 90 percent of the not-to-exceed cost until the City accepts all final deliverables, which include a final master plan, GIS databases, and hydraulic models. The agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California with jurisdiction in Santa Barbara County.
