Full Description

The current state of existing Headworks structure includes work partially complete by a project titled: Water Reclamation Facility Rehabilitation Phase 1 Design, dated March 2024, by Carollo Engineers. This project was advertised and a contract was awarded to a construction contractor and the work performed over the period from September 2024 to mid 2026. Due to the condition of the existing flume concrete walls and slab, the City requires portions of the headworks structure be reconstructed with new materials rather than repaired as previously designed. This was based on the condition assessment performed after the temporary bypass was commissioned. The contract for the Water Reclamation Facility Rehabilitation Phase 1 was ended and this new scope of work prepared. The status of partially completed work from the above referenced design documents is described within the Summary of Work section and new work is identified. The intent is to restore the headworks to operable condition in a timely manner.
