City of Walnut City-Wide Bicycle Master Plan and a Non-Motorized Transportation Plan City-Wide Bicycle Master Plan and a Non-Motorized Transportation Plan Closing Date: 09/24/2026 4:00:00 PM PT Details: The City is seeking qualified professional planning, transportation engineering, and active transportation firms (“Proposer”) to prepare a City-Wide Bicycle Master Plan and a Non-Motorized Transportation Plan for the City of Walnut. The purpose of the City-Wide Bicycle Master Plan is to evaluate the City’s existing bicycle facilities and determine whether additional bicycle lanes or other bikeway improvements may be appropriate throughout the community. The Plan will identify connectivity gaps, evaluate bicycle safety conditions, assess bicycle demand, and develop recommendations for future bicycle infrastructure improvements. The Non-Motorized Transportation Plan will improve connectivity, accessibility, safety, mobility, and recreational opportunities while complementing existing transportation infrastructure and future development. The City is particularly interested in identifying whether additional bike lanes are warranted on existing roadways and, if so, the appropriate type and configuration of those facilities. These efforts will be considered a Citywide Master Plan to be incorporated into the Circulation Element of the City’s General Plan and related deliverables.
