Scope: PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Menifee hereinafter referred to as the Agency, invites sealed bids for the above stated Project up to time of 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 25, 2026.
This is a prevailing wage project under the laws of the State of California and the Federal Davis-Bacon Act. This contract is subject to Part 26, Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations entitled "Participation by Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in Department of Transportation Financial Assistance Programs."
This contract contains “Buy America” provision for certain steel products. Please refer to the specifications for more detail. To assist bidders in ascertaining DBE availability for specific items of work, the Agency advises that it has determined that DBEs could reasonably be expected to compete for subcontracting opportunities on this project, and their likely availability for work on this project is N/A.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK The work generally consists of, but is not limited to installing a raised median, adding bike lanes, installing new loop detectors and Signing/Striping.
LOCATION OF WORK The work to be constructed is located varies traffic signal locations throughout the city.
ESTIMATED COST AND DURATION OF WORK Estimated construction cost: $1,800,000. This is a 60 working day contract.
BID SUBMITAL REQUIREMENTS Bids must be submitted electronically via the City of Menifee’s PlanetBids bidding portal at: https://www.planetbids.com/portal/portal.cfm?CompanyID=41576 no later than 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, June 25, 2026. Electronic Bid submittal must include all corresponding attachments, including but not limited to, bid bond, subcontractor list, etc.
A hard copy of the entire bid package including all original notarized documents must be received within 24 hours of the submittal deadline to be consider responsive to this NIB.
