NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENT Class 1 Handheld Sound Level Analyzers, Omni-Directional Sound Sources and Amplifiers The department of Nationa Defence (DND) requires the purchase of new Class 1 Handheld Sound Level Analyzers, Omni-Directional Sound Sources and Amplifiers to replace its current systems which have reached end of life. Initial Deliverables Item Description 1. Class 1 Handheld Sound Level Analyzer - Quantity - 2 2. Omni-Directional Sound Sources - Quantity - 2 3. Amplifiers - Quantity - 2 Optional Deliverables (01 April 2025 to 31 March 2026) Item Description 1. Class 1 Handheld Sound Level Analyzer - Quantity - 2 2. Omni-Directional Sound Sources - Quantity - 2 3. Amplifiers - Quantity - 2 Tendering procedures: All interested suppliers may submit a bid. Nature of Requirement: DND is responsible for conducting speech privacy testing of its Secure Discussion Areas (SDA). To perform this task, DND utilizes Class 1 Handheld Sound Level Analyzers, Omni-Directional Sound Sources and Amplifiers. The current operational stock of Handheld Sound Level Analyzers, Omni-Directional Sound Sources and Amplifiers are reaching end of service life and are no longer repairable. In order to maintain the ability to conduct speech privacy testing, the current systems must be replaced as they become unserviceable. The requirement in its entirety, is detailed within the RFP at Annex “A” Requirement. Delivery Date: 28 March 2024 Competitive Procurement Strategy: A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract. Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement. Security Requirements: This contract does not include security requirements.
