Class A Gasfitter Services

The Government of Yukon, through the Highways and Public Works Facilities Management Branch, is establishing a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) for Class A Gasfitter services with an estimated total value of 50,000.00 dollars. The scope of work includes the inspection, installation, maintenance, repair, testing, commissioning, and emergency services for natural gas, propane, and associated fuel-fired equipment, including industrial systems exceeding 400,000 BTU/h. Services will be provided on an as-needed basis across various Yukon communities and traditional First Nation locations. Contractors must adhere to CSA B149 codes and other applicable CSA and CAN/ULC standards, utilizing Original Equipment Manufacturer parts unless otherwise approved. Emergency call-outs typically require an on-site presence within two hours of notification. Award decisions are based on an Adjusted Total Price, which incorporates hourly rates for Journeymen, Apprentices, and Forepersons/Supervisors, adjusted by a travel and accommodation factor based on the contractor's home location. A 15 percent Bid Value Reduction may be applied for wages paid to Yukon First Nation labour. Call-ups under the SOA will be issued to the overall highest-ranked respondent first. Contractors are required to provide electronic PDF reports of work performed and must possess current WHMIS and OHS awareness training. Payment may be withheld until service reports and closed permits are accepted by the government. All responses must be submitted via the Electronic Bidding System by the specified deadline, using the authorized response forms and schedule of prices.
