Class B Gasfitter Services

The Government of Yukon is establishing a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) under solicitation RSO-RFB-2026-7-5476 to secure qualified contractors for Class B Gasfitter services on an as-needed basis. The scope of work involves the inspection, maintenance, repair, testing, commissioning, and minor alteration of natural gas and propane-fired appliances and systems, including equipment up to 400,000 BTU/hr such as furnaces, boilers, and unit heaters. Services will be performed across various Yukon communities and traditional locations, including Whitehorse, Dawson City, and several First Nation territories. The estimated total value of work for the term is 70,000 dollars. All work must be performed by personnel holding a valid Class B Gasfitter Certificate of Qualification and must comply with CSA B149.1, CSA B149.2, Yukon Gas Regulations, and Government of Yukon Design Requirements and Technical Standards. Contractors are required to provide hourly rates for Journeymen, Apprentices, and Forepersons/Supervisors, with a permitted 10 percent markup on materials. Evaluation for award is based on an Adjusted Total Price that accounts for labor rates and a travel and accommodation factor for those outside the Central Region. Preference and bid value reductions may be applied to registered Yukon First Nation businesses. Key contractual terms include a minimum one-year warranty on workmanship and payment terms of 30 calendar days for undisputed invoices.
