NOTICE OF PROPOSED PROCUREMENTThe Department of National Defence (DND), through the Canadian Forces Health Services (CFHS), has a requirement for the professional services of up to four (4) Biomedical Engineers with experience in Clinical Engineering on an "as and when requested basis" in order to address diverse Health Technology Management requirements, such as the management of biomedical or clinical engineering departments, systems integration, capital acquisition and implementation, and patient safety.The period of any resulting contract will be from date of Contract award to one (1) year later, with an irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to three (3) additional one-year periods under the same conditions.There are security requirements associated with this requirement. For additional information, consult Part 6 - Security, Financial and Other Requirements, and Part 7 - Resulting Contract Clauses. For more information on personnel and organization security screening or security clauses, bidders should refer to the Industrial Security Program (ISP) of Public Works and Government Services Canada (http://ssi-iss.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/index-eng.html) website.For services requirements, Bidders must provide the required information as detailed in article 2.3 of Part 2 of the bid solicitation, in order to comply with Treasury Board policies and directives on contracts awarded to former public servants.The Crown retains the rights to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
