COBRA Software Integration in support of the MQ-8 Fire Scout Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS)

CY17 Sustainment COBRA Software Integration awarded 13 June 2017 to contract number N00019-17-C-0033. Justification and Approval 6.302-1:N00019-17-RFPREQ-PMA-266-0095 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract modification N00019-17-C-0033-P00005 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation - Aerospace Systems (NGSC-AS), San Diego, CA for the procurement of the integration of Coastal Battlefield Reconnaissance and Analysis (COBRA) Payload software capabilities into the MQ-8 Software increment 12.0 series. This effort is in support of the MQ-8C Fire Scout Unmanned Aircraft System. This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.
