AI Contract Overview
The Army Medical Resources Acq Activity is managing a project under the Combat Readiness Medical Research Program Rapid Development and Translational Research Award to develop a high performance, shelf stable oxygen concentrator module. Currently held by TDA Research, Inc. with a value of 3.2 million dollars, the project focuses on a cylindrical configuration designed to fit existing high pressure D size oxygen cylinder hardware. The core innovation involves a unique humidity blocker that prevents water adsorption, allowing the module to remain shelf stable for several months without performance degradation. This contract is structured as a cost plus fixed fee agreement and is expected to reach its potential end date on November 14, 2026. There is a high confidence level that this will result in a full and open competition recompete. The work is performed in Golden, Colorado, and falls under NAICS code 541715.

Full Description
Current Contract: HT942523C0033 Incumbent: TDA RESEARCH, INC. Contract Value: $3,200,000 Potential End Date: 2026-11-14T00:00:00.000Z Competition: FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION Pricing: COST PLUS FIXED FEE Classification: full-recompete (Confidence: high - 90/100)
In this program, TDA Research proposes to develop and demonstrate a high performance, shelf-stable oxygen concentrator module in a cylindrical configuration that fits into existing hardware for mounting high-pressure D-size oxygen cylinders. TDA has invented a unique humidity blocker design that can be dropped into the bed without increasing the size of the bed or reducing the performance of the oxygen concentrator. By preventing water adsorption on the majority of the bed, TDA's oxygen concentrator module becomes shelf-stable and won't show reduced performance after storage (in the proposed work, TDA will demonstrate the use of the new humidity blocker for its own cylindrical medical oxygen generator, but it will be applicable to all oxygen generation systems). Oxygen concentrators equipped with this new technology can be placed in storage for several months in between uses without any degradation in performance.
