Comcast Kings County Lemoore Last Mile Fiber-to-the-Home FFA

The Kings County Lemoore project, led by Comcast under the California Public Utilities Commission, aims to deploy last-mile fiber-to-the-home infrastructure to connect approximately 1,170 unserved locations in the communities of Lemoore and Hanford, serving an estimated population of 4,472 residents. Although there are about 1,445 unserved units in the area, Tribal land belonging to the Santa Rosa Rancheria Tachi Yokut Tribe has been excluded from the project due to the inability to secure permission from the Tribe. The network will deliver symmetrical broadband speeds of up to 1,250 Mbps upload and download to participating households, addressing significant broadband gaps in a region characterized by predominantly agricultural land use and scattered rural residential developments. The project is part of a broader effort to expand high-speed internet access to underserved areas, with the California Public Utilities Commission overseeing its implementation and public coordination through its designated regulatory analyst.
