The Federal Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for federal offenders housed at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) located at 71 W. Van Buren Street, Chicago, Illinois. Services to be provided shall include inpatient/outpatient hospital services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and outpatient institution services. The contract type is indefinite delivery/requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option-year periods for renewal. The estimated quantities are 88 inpatient days and 110 outpatient visits for the base year period and each proceeding option year period, if exercised.. The Market Research Questionnaire and Performance Work Statement will be available on or about December 17, 2009, and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administration's Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. A government proposal to provide these services is being developed, and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation.
