The US Department of Education, Federal Student Aid (FSA) plans to purchase the following CA products: - (EPT) CA Remote Control, CA Support; License type - Perpetual, Non-tiered server; Quantity - 10 - (DLCS) CA Universal Job Management Agent, CA Support; License type - Perpetual, Agent; Quantity - 2 - (DLCS) Unicenter Network and Systems Management, CA Support; License type - Perpetual, Non-tiered server; Quantity - 2 - (DLCS) Unicenter Network and Systems Management Job Management Option, CA Support; License type - Perpetual, Tier 2 server; Quantity - 2 - (CPS) CA MICS Resource Management Analyzer Option for CICS (z/OS); License type - Perpetual, MIPS; Quantity - 2000 MIPS plus an additional 2000 temporary MIPS. We are re-instating or adding maintenance for the Remote Control and Unicenter products under current CA ELA (ED-FSA-11-P-0029). We are adding licenses and maintenance for the MICs product under the same ELA. In all cases, the products are in use by FSA. It would not be cost effective to replace these products for the sake of gaining competition. The cost of testing alone would offset any benefits of doing such. The products will be included in this current performance period and the remaining 3 option years.
