The 60th Security Forces Squadron at Travis Air Force Base requires 410 custom-designed 8-foot concrete security barriers, finished smoothly and featuring two horizontal conduit pipes for cabling, available in Aztec Sand or Neutral Balance Tan. These barriers are intended to replace outdated perimeter security barriers around the base’s Industrial Maintenance Complex in compliance with the Uniform Facilities Code and specific Air Force instructions. The new elevated barriers will enhance security by mitigating high-speed approach routes and addressing previous inspection deficiencies. The selected contractor, 48Barriers, is the only vendor capable of meeting the detailed specifications, including the integration of PVC piping conduits for steel cabling within the concrete structure. Delivery of the completed barriers is scheduled within 30 weeks from the contract award date.
