The Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration (TSA), through its Personnel Security Division, is seeking industry input on a draft Statement of Work concerning consolidated fingerprinting services. This process supports TSA’s preliminary background investigations by collecting fingerprints and digital photographs of prospective federal candidates and contractors, which are essential for conducting federal fingerprint checks and producing official government identification badges. The objective is to ensure all TSA federal and contracted personnel meet strict suitability and security standards before employment. Industry feedback on the draft SOW is requested via email to TSA’s Contracting Specialist, Venita Mathias, by the close of business on March 30, 2012. This request is made through a Special Notice posted on the FedBizOpps website and explicitly states it is not a solicitation. The contract involves services under NAICS code 561611 and concerns work to be performed in Arlington, Virginia. Points of contact include Venita Mathias, Contract Specialist, and Kevin Alexander, Contracting Officer. This announcement provides an opportunity for industry engagement in refining the fingerprinting services while ensuring TSA’s personnel screening processes remain robust and compliant.
