Construct Solid Waste and Recycling Center

The County of Bath, Virginia, is soliciting bids from qualified and licensed construction companies for the development of a new Solid Waste and Recycling Collection Center located at Industrial Park Road in Millboro, VA. The scope of work is comprehensive, encompassing grading and surface improvements, excavation, structural fill, concrete footings for compactors and offices, concrete pavement, electrical work, security and safety measures, erosion and sediment control, and landscaping. All construction must adhere to the Millboro Collection Center Plans by Perkins and Orrisson Inc. and comply with VDOT No: 21A standards for aggregate base, as well as all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and zoning regulations. The contract will be awarded to the lowest qualified responsive bidder whose proposal is deemed acceptable based on price, bidder qualifications, and financial ability. Bidders must provide a bid security equal to five percent of their maximum bid price and, upon award, furnish a performance bond for one hundred percent of the contract price and a payment bond. Work is scheduled to commence no later than thirty days after the contractor receives notice, but no later than April 23, 2027. Submissions must be delivered in sealed envelopes to the County Administrator in Warm Springs, VA, by the December 1, 2026, deadline.
