Guadalupe Light Rail Vehicle Wash Replacement

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is soliciting an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the Guadalupe Light Rail Vehicle Wash Replacement project, identified as solicitation number C25134F. The scope of work involves the removal and replacement of the existing Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) wash system at Building F of the Guadalupe Division with a new hybrid drive-through and gantry wash system designed for 88.5-foot-long vehicles. The contract is expected to be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the total bid price, with an engineer's estimate ranging from $4.5 million to $5.5 million. Potential bidders must successfully complete a pre-qualification application and receive VTA approval before bidding. The solicitation requires several mandatory certifications, including Buy America, Equal Employment Opportunity, and non-collusion declarations, and establishes a 3% participation goal for Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE).
