The Project will include construction services for the replacement of substation 25A and the decommissioning/demolition of the existing substation located near Union Station in Washington, DC. The Union Substation (Substation 25A) will provide catenary power to Union Station Terminal feeders and circuits. Feeders from Ivy City Supply substation will provide power to Union substation. The Substation 25A Relocation Project is a critical improvement project that will create a more resilient and robust infrastructure with the addition of a prefabricated substation to optimize Amtrak's Railway Express Agency property layout.
