Follow-up and Family Support Contractors for the DC EHDI Team assisting with various activities. Supports the DC EHDI Program team to ensure that newborns are screened by 1 month of age, diagnosed by 3 months of age, and enrolled in early intervention services by 6 months, including following-up with families and providers to ensure baby is following timeline and pathway and/or assisting the DC EHDI Team with other follow-up activities as needed. Conducts extended follow-ups to notify of next steps in the EHDI pathway/support families of newborns identified as deaf or hard of hearing (D/HH) or other issues identified through, and/or related to, newborn screening. Updates and helps manage the DC EHDI Programs tracking system that monitors newborn hearing birth, outpatient and diagnostic screenings and follow-ups for babies born in the District.
