Continuing Architectural/Engineering (A/E) Services - Region 2

The Florida Department of Corrections is soliciting sealed qualifications from architectural and engineering firms to provide continuing professional services for various projects within Region 2. The contract is intended for a term of up to five years, with an option to renew for an additional five years. The scope of work covers the design, pre-construction, and construction phases for projects where basic construction costs do not exceed 7.5 million dollars and professional service fees do not exceed 500,000 dollars. Up to three firms may be awarded a contract following a ranking process by a selection committee and successful negotiations. Qualified firms must hold a current Florida A/E Professional Registration Certificate, be registered with the Florida Department of State, and possess at least three years of relevant business experience within the last five years. Evaluation is based on an initial screening of related building experience, staffing, scheduling, cost control, information systems, and financial capability, with optional presentations. Due to the nature of the work, contractors must adhere to strict security protocols within correctional institutions, including rigorous tool control and prohibited device policies, while ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Prison Rape Elimination Act.
