Full Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), PMW-176, intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, a contract modification with Harris Corporation, Melbourne, Florida under the existing contract N00039-00-D-3210, AN/WSC-6(V)9 Super High Frequency (SHF) Satellite Communication (SATCOM) terminal. The modification will provide an additional three (3) year ordering period through 31 December 2007, with no change to the quantities currently available for order under the existing contract. This action will merely allow the Government to be able to procure AN/WSC-6(V)9 terminals available for purchase but not purchased to date. SPAWAR anticipates the work under this modification will be on a firm-fixed price basis with a total ordering period of 36 months. The contractor will be required to demonstrate efforts to provide subcontracting opportunities for small businesses. The Government is not soliciting proposals in response to this synopsis. It is the policy of the Government to foster competition; any prospective offeror may provide information, which the Government will consider in its continued review of the requirement.
