The Naval Air Systems Command plans to negotiate a sole source modification extending Contract N00019-04-D-0001 for an additional six months under FAR Part 6.302-1. This extension covers Contractor Logistics Support and Technical Engineering Support Services for KC-130, F/R/T Series Aircraft, and C-130J Variant Aircraft utilized by various U.S. Government agencies and Department of Defense services. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company (LMAero), located in Marietta, GA, is identified as the sole source due to its unique position as the original designer, developer, and manufacturer of the KC-130J aircraft and its proprietary Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) C-130J model, holding exclusive rights to all relevant technical data, drawings, and software. The contract modification is issued as a presolicitation notice, not a request for proposals, reflecting the necessity to maintain continuity of support without competition, given the proprietary nature of the services. The primary NAICS code for this acquisition is 336411, and the place of performance is Marietta, GA. Points of contact for this contract include Contract Specialists Monica L. White and Diana I. Dalphonse at the Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, MD. This extension ensures ongoing logistics and engineering support critical to the operational readiness of these military aircraft variants.
