The media in the cooling towers is approximately 22 years old and has reached the end of its useful life. It has become fouled scaled and brittle and is breaking off and entering the condenser water system causing damage and degradation of performance. There are 6 towers with two cells each. The per tower cost (two cells) is estimated at 300000. This scope is designed by in-house engineering staff and is to contract out the replacement of the cooling tower media. This could be a base bid plus alternate bid project.
