AI Contract Overview
This contract, identified as SPE2DH-26-T-3766, issued by the Department of Defense's Medical Supply Chain FSH, concerns the procurement of power cords specifically designed for the Piccolo analyzer, a medical device. The contract calls for the delivery of two units, each properly packaged and labeled in adherence to Medical Marking Standard No. 1—superseding MIL-STD-129 for medical acquisitions—to ensure product protection and traceability during shipment to the destination at Camp Pendleton, California. Packaging must comply with DLA packaging and preservation standards, including sealed containerization to prevent damage, and shipment via commercial means at the lowest cost. The contract mandates a minimum 60-month shelf life with no more than nine months elapsed between manufacture and government delivery, with shelf life and lot information prominently marked on each unit. Contractual clauses include rigorous compliance with federal regulations related to cybersecurity, ethics, and labor standards, highlighted by requirements such as safeguarding covered defense information (NIST SP 800-171 adherence) and whistleblower protections. Inspection and acceptance occur at the destination with the government responsible for final approval and are governed by federal standards including FAR 52.246-2. The delivery schedule stipulates a five-day turnaround after receipt of order. Administrative and payment processes utilize the Wide Area WorkFlow (WAWF) system, with final payment terms to be confirmed post-award. The solicitation process is conducted electronically via the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) with proposals due by May 18, 2026. While pricing details and contract type remain unspecified at this stage, the contract structure incorporates standard federal clauses ensuring compliance with labor, cybersecurity, and ethical contract fulfillment requirements.
