Coroners Removal Service within the Boroughs of Sefton, Knowsley and St Helens For The Period 1st December 2026 to 30th November 2029 with the Option for 2 x 12 Month Extensions

Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking bids for a Coroners Removals Service to operate across the boroughs of Sefton, Knowsley, and St Helens. The contract is divided into four geographic lots: Lot 1 for Sefton North, Lot 2 for Sefton South, Lot 3 for Knowsley, and Lot 4 for St Helens. The primary scope of work involves the transport and handling of deceased persons, including the use of cadaver transport and storage equipment. This procurement is reserved exclusively for UK suppliers. The initial contract period runs from December 1, 2026, to November 30, 2029, with the option for two 12-month extensions that could extend the term to November 30, 2031. The total estimated value of the contract is 400,000 GBP excluding VAT. Award decisions will be based on a weighted criteria of 90 percent quality and 10 percent price.
