AI Contract Overview
The contract covers the procurement of 56 units of a COVER, TERMINAL designated by NSN 1610-00-887-0231 under solicitation SPE4A5-26-T-157Z, with delivery required to DLA Distribution Cherry Point, North Carolina. The item must comply with stringent technical and quality standards outlined in the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, which supersede other standards such as ASTM D3951. Packaging must adhere to MIL-STD-129 for marking and labeling, with palletization following RP001 DLA Packaging Requirements, and unit of issue and quantity per unit pack strictly aligned with contract specifications. Sampling and inspection protocols require MIL-STD-1916 or a comparable zero-based plan, with inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination point. The contractor must ensure configuration change management via engineering change proposals or variance requests, and implement physical identification marking per RQ017 for this critical application item. Cybersecurity compliance mandates a CMMC Level 2 self-assessment, supported by adherence to NIST SP 800-171 and basic safeguarding of contractor information systems, with all requirements reinforced via deviation-based modifications to FAR and DFARS clauses. Hazardous materials require full compliance with OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard including submission of Safety Data Sheets prior to award, and any item containing radioactive material must be disclosed in advance with precise isotopic details and labeled per MIL-STD-129. The contract imposes zero tolerance for non-conforming samples and mandates traceability through full documentation and reporting obligations. Delivery is due 294 days after direction, with a need ship date of March 18, 2027 and original delivery target of May 18, 2027, under FOB destination terms. Payment must be processed through WAWF, and invoicing is restricted to government-approved methods. The contractor must maintain current representations in SAM.gov for size status and socioeconomic categories, disclose any covered telecommunications equipment or services, and provide accurate UEI and CAGE codes. The contract type remains unspecified, but deviations apply to multiple FAR and DFARS clauses including equal opportunity, combating human trafficking, employment eligibility verification, and subcontracting for commercial items, all aligned with a deviation number issued in 2026. Item Unique Identification is waived per the service customer’s request, as permitted under DFARS 252.211-7
