ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS- Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 PM on Monday, November 2, 2026, at the office of John Welle, Aitkin County Engineer - 1211 Air Park Drive, Aitkin, MN for the construction projects listed below. Proposals will be opened and read publicly at the Office of the County Engineer immediately after the hour set for receiving bids.
PROJECT NUMBER: CP 001-090-048 – 2027 Aggregate Crushing
Approximate major items of work are: Stockpile Aggregate Class 6 Modified Site A – 40,000 Tons Stockpile Aggregate Class 6 Modified Site A – 5,600 Tons Stockpile Aggregate Class 5 Site A – 3,500 Tons Stockpile Class Special Site A – 2,000 Tons Stockpile Class 6 Modified Site B – 40,000 Tons
Proposals and specifications may be examined at or requested from the Office of the County Engineer located at 1211 Air Park Drive, Aitkin, Minnesota 56431, (218) 927-3741. These documents are also available for viewing at www.co.aitkin.mn.us by following the Highway Construction link.
Proposals must be on forms furnished by the County Highway Engineer. Proposals must be sealed, identified on the envelope, and each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check made payable to the Aitkin County Treasurer in an amount equal to at least five (5) percent of the total amount bid. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities thereof.
