Sealed bids for the Cracksealing-2025 Project will be received by the City of Des Peres, City Clerk's Office, until 2:00 P.M., on Wednesday, January 29, 2025; The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud in Council Chambers, City Hall, 12325 Manchester Rd, Des Peres MO 63131. Two copies of the bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the project name, date, and time of opening clearly written on the envelope. The Scope of Work includes preparing and sealing of cracks and joints in city streets, providing traffic control and other incidental items as indicated on the construction drawings and specifications. It is anticipated this work will take place in April 2025, weather permitting. These same streets were cracksealed in 2023, or have since been resurfaced/reconstructed, so the amount of material needed should be lower than a first-time application. In general, the western half of the city is cracksealed in odd years, and the eastern half in even years. All bidders are expected to visit the project locations and become familiar with conditions. A detailed Street List and map are included. Bids and payment are to be based upon Centerline Feet, and actual quantities will not be measured in the field. Alternate bid items are parking lots for parks and recreation facilities and will be bid on a lump sum basis. The city reserves the right to include or exclude any of these alternate bid items in the contract.
