THIS IS A SYNOPSIS (NOTICE OF INTENT) FOR A SOLE SOURCE ACQUISITION AS REQUIRED BY FAR PART 5.2. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of this contract action deem only one source is reasonably available in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This requirement is considered noncommercial in nature and any resultant contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR 15. The AFLCMC/WWMK-HL Contracting Office intends to award a sole source Fixed Price contract to GE Aviation Systems LLC. The contractor will provide forty (40) CSFDR DAS-11 systems, comprised of two LRUs, a Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) and an Enhanced Crash Survivable Memory Unit (ECSMU). The solicitation for this requirement will be issued to GE Aviation Systems LLC. as a Request For Proposal (RFP) with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 336413 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS.
