The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic (SSC-LANT), under the Department of Defense, issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking details on commercial off-the-shelf Triple Play Test Hardware and Software capable of testing audio, video, and data streams. The hardware/software must evaluate key performance metrics such as maximum data throughput, user capacity, latency, and quality measures including MOS-V and Media Delivery Index on any given network. It should also simulate large user populations across various network architectures, including Passive Optic Network systems, and generate comprehensive analytical charts and graphs from test data. The goal is to assess and validate products in order to determine their suitability for potential government projects, with evaluations based on vendor submissions including company details, product descriptions, and cost information. Responses with complete product information were due by December 14, 2015, and were requested to exclude proprietary details as all submissions might be publicly shared. Although this RFI is for informational purposes only and will not result in a direct contract award, the information gathered will support future procurement decisions. Interested vendors were encouraged to submit data via email to the designated technical contact, Jose Fortin, with inquiries concerning non-technical contract matters directed to the Contracting Officer. This effort reflects a planning and information-gathering initiative by SSC-LANT to ensure evaluated solutions align with government performance and integration requirements.
