2-20 foot Containers with Gantry Beam and Chain Lift
Solicitation # W912ES27QA004
Solicitation W912ES27QA004 is a total small business set-aside for a firm-fixed-price contract to procure two brand-new 20-foot High Cube open-side storage containers for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The containers require custom structural steel fabrication of a 1-ton capacity Load Handling Equipment crane and hoist system, featuring a 6-foot external extension and an internal counterweight system. Key technical requirements include a design safety factor of 5:1 per ASME B30 standards, PE-stamped structural calculations, and compliance with EM 385-1-1. All modified components must be coated in industrial Safety Yellow paint and the units must be marked with DoD Item Unique Identification in accordance with MIL-STD-130. The contractor is responsible for turnkey ground delivery to Fountain City, Wisconsin, with a final delivery deadline of March 1, 2027. Final acceptance is contingent upon a physical inspection and successful field demonstration by USACE staff, including a 125% proof load test and verification that the hoist traverses the full length of the gantry rails without binding. Offerors must submit technical descriptions, product data sheets, and drawings via the PIEE Solicitation Module. Evaluation will be based on technical acceptability, price consistency with historical data, and risk assessments conducted through the Supplier Performance Risk System.
