Solicitation # RFP#74-26
The Township of Centre Wellington is soliciting proposals under RFP#74-26 for qualified arboriculture and urban forestry consultants to conduct a comprehensive tree inventory and Level 2 condition assessment on Township-owned lands. The primary focus areas include the urban centers of Elora/Salem, Fergus, and Belwood, with provisional inclusions for Inverhaugh and Ennotville depending on budget availability. The project aims to support the Urban Forest Resilience and Natural Asset Management Initiative by collecting detailed data on species, diameter at breast height, height, crown spread, condition, and likelihood of failure. All deliverables, including a mandatory 100-tree pilot test for approval, must be submitted in an ESRI File Geodatabase-compatible export and accepted by July 31, 2027. The contract will be awarded based on a Total Score combining rated requirements—specifically bidder overview, project team, and work plan—and pricing, with the lowest bid breaking any ties.
