Curtiss Park Trail State Project No. 128-158

The Town of Simsbury is soliciting bids under solicitation number E26-01 for State Project No. 128-158, the Curtiss Park Trail. The project involves the construction of approximately 3,000 linear feet of bituminous concrete multi-use trail along the north side of Tariffville Road, crossing the Farmington River via the Tariffville Road bridge, and extending to Curtiss and Pattison Parks. A key component of the work includes the construction of a boardwalk section within and adjacent to wetlands in the Farmington River riparian corridor. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who demonstrates proper licensing, adequate staffing and equipment, and the necessary experience to complete the work. Bidders must comply with all Connecticut Department of Transportation, federal, state, and municipal regulations, including prevailing wage and nondiscrimination requirements. While the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation goal is set at 0 percent, bidders must still comply with all applicable DBE requirements. Physical bid submissions are due by November 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM to the Director of Finance in Simsbury, Connecticut, as email and fax submissions are prohibited. Required documentation, including bid surety, performance and payment bonds, insurance, labor documentation, and DBE certifications, must be submitted in person or by mail within three days of the bid date.
