Full Description

13. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source: HGI Skydyne Inc Port Jervis NY 12771-2931. The procurement will be conducted on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 13.106- 1(b), for (28) each, Custom made shipping and storage cases with custom made foam to be used for aircraft parts during deployment. Measures for cases are Length 56 inches inches x Width 49 inches x Depth 15 inches. The basis for restricting competition is because HGI Skydyne is the manufacturer and sole distributor for this equipment. The NA ICS Code for this procurement is 326199. Small business size standard is 750 employees. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and solicitation will not be issued; however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Numbered Note 22 applies to this Synopsis. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with the manufacturer, HGI Skydyne.
