Cybersecurity and CUI Protection (NIST SP 800-171 Implementation)

This contract entails the implementation and ongoing maintenance of cybersecurity controls as specified in NIST SP 800-171 to safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information across all applicable systems and environments. The work requires the development and continuous updating of a System Security Plan that documents how each required control is addressed, ensuring alignment with federal standards for protecting CUI. In addition to configuration and policy establishment, the contractor is responsible for monitoring, assessing, and adjusting security measures to address evolving threats and compliance requirements. The contractor must also establish and maintain procedures for timely detection, reporting, and response to cyber incidents affecting CUI, in strict accordance with federal reporting mandates. All activities are performed under the purview of the Defense Logistics Agency as a subcontract supporting Department of Defense obligations, with the North American Industry Classification System code 541512 indicating information technology services focused on cybersecurity and systems integration.
