Cybersecurity Compliance and CUI Safeguarding

The contract requires full implementation and ongoing maintenance of the cybersecurity controls outlined in NIST Special Publication 800-171 to protect Covered Defense Information at all times. This includes establishing, documenting, and enforcing policies and procedures that align with the specified technical and administrative safeguards, ensuring that all systems handling such information meet the required security standards. The contractor must also be prepared to detect, respond to, and report any cyber incidents promptly in accordance with the requirements of DFARS 252.204-7012, including submitting incident reports to the Department of Defense through designated channels and preserving evidence for forensic analysis. This is a small business set-aside subcontract under the NAICS code 541512, awarded by the Department of Defense’s Strategic Acquisition Program Directorate. All work must be performed by a small business as defined by the SBA, and the opportunity is open only to qualifying entities. Responses are due by August 20, 2026, and compliance with all cybersecurity and reporting obligations will be a condition of contract performance. Failure to maintain continuous adherence to NIST SP 800-171 controls or to report incidents as mandated may result in contract termination, financial penalties, or loss of eligibility for future DoD work.
