Cybersecurity Compliance and Incident Response Support

The contract provides ongoing cybersecurity support focused on maintaining compliance with NIST SP 800-171 requirements, ensuring that defense industrial base systems adhere to federal security standards for protecting controlled unclassified information. It includes continuous monitoring and implementation of necessary safeguards to meet regulatory obligations, with an emphasis on sustaining a robust security posture across all covered systems. The contractor is also responsible for timely cyber incident reporting through the Defense Industrial Base Cybersecurity Information Exchange, known as DIBNet, ensuring rapid communication of threats and breaches to appropriate government entities. Additionally, the contract mandates the retention of forensic data in accordance with established protocols, enabling effective post-incident analysis and investigation. This includes the secure collection, storage, and preservation of digital evidence related to cyber events. The contractor must also submit detected malware samples to the Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) to support broader threat intelligence efforts and enhance the Department of Defense’s ability to identify and mitigate emerging cyber risks. All activities under this subcontract are performed in support of the Defense Logistics Agency’s mission to secure critical defense infrastructure and maintain readiness through proactive cybersecurity measures.
